EZM-V87i Replica of Neumann U87i
₪6,750.00
EZM-V87i was inspired by the world’s most famous singing microphone made by Neumann U87i in the late sixties.
One of the first microphones to be built using a JFET transistor model that simulates a vacuum tube since the power supply (Phantom 48V) for the capsule and electronic components until then operated using external high voltage power supply. Approximately 120 volts for the lamp Anode and a low voltage of 6.3 volts for heating the Cathode.
The EZM-V87i microphone is hand-built Sound Engineer and Electronics Technician Moshe Etzioni.
After the assembly, each microphone is carefully tested and calibrated compared to the original microphone.
The electric scheme is the original one of U87i microphone
The components of the electronics were carefully chosen with high fidelity to the original, some surpassing its quality.
The EZM-V87i microphone consists of an output transformer made by Cinemag, which is known for the quality of its products. The transformer gives a sound color closer to the microphones of the sixties and seventies.
The microphone capsule is a 34mm two-way microphone with three absorption lines.
Cardioid, Omnidirectional, and Figure-8 with extremely low noise features made by American and Australian studios.
The microphone has a 10dB power switch, in addition to low frequency switch. This action addresses low frequency interference.
The microphone can handle high sound pressure levels up to 127dB without distortion.
The microphone is also intended for use in home and professional studios.
Suitable for singing recordings, acoustic instruments, piano, acoustic guitars and more.
